A night of high heals, lights, laughs, & friends is how
Nicole celebrated her sweet 16 !!!

 

Limo fun

Dinner in Hollywood and a walk along Hollywood  Blvd.

Then off to West Hollywood for Millions of Milkshakes...

 then a great end to a fun night ...
The beach, her one wish for the  night came true !!!

 With lots of crazy, with lots of laughs, with a few yawns ... Nicole had a great Night...

update!!!

Well its been over 9 weeks ....

 Arm cast off .... brace on

using a bone stimulator, along with vitamin therapy

as we hope that my knee heals ...

Still waiting ..

Will it heal and I get to start therapy ???
Will if fall apart, as the doctor is afraid of ???

Who knows ..

 

 

Patience is not one of my best virtues, but i'm trying ...

When I fell, the week after Easter break ( yes, Easter)

I thought dumb move, this sucks 8 weeks and by summer i'd be on the road to recovery.

Well, i'm on the road, but not sure what road ...

Yes, i'm stronger, yes my arm is better, yes i'm in therapy for my arm,

But ... I still can't bend my leg, I still don't know if it will heal at all,

I don't know if it heals, if I need surgery on the pins

If it doesn't heal, will I loose my knee cap entirely ...

My patience is being tested, in as much as I believe that everything

happens for a reason,  I don't know what this reason is...

But, I will continue to sit, continue to do all I can to heal,

and I will try to stay positive as my summer moves along ...

With a hope that I can enjoy some of it with my family...

Heal, Heal, Heal !!!!

And what a great year it was, but how is it possible we now have

a 8th grader and a Junior !!!

 

 



Sweet 16 !!!

It is so hard to believe that it's been 16 years.

Nicole you have been a blessing from the first moment  !!

You have brought us so much joy..

You are thoughtful, kind, smart & so caring ...

 

 

 The day started with a small

surprise from mom and dad, she woke up to a balloon avalanche as got up to get ready for the day.

As she went outside to the laundry, she was surprised with the

whole front area decorated with banners, balloon, lots of confetti and sweet 16 goodies!!

(so sweet, thank you Claudia, Kelcee & Steve) 

Off to school she went for a day of fun ...
With such great friends, she was given
balloons & flowers from Shannon
A lemon cake from lauren
Cookies from Gillian
Lemonade cupcakes from Hannah ( a dozen)
Chocolate cupcakes from  (a half a dozen)
Flowers from Fabian
Her arms were FULL !!!!

 

 

We celebrated with
grandma and Papa at dinner .... Nicole wanted Lobster..
ohhhh...... things are changes !!!!

Ryan Rocked his 7th grade year at Granada...

 

After receiving an invitation to Granada's Awards Night and not sure

what kind of award he was receiving ...

 

 

What a great evening of surprises ...

 

Ryan was called to the stage 3 times ...

Outstanding Scholarship from Mrs. Quisnell

Most Improved from Ms Stampfl

and a medal for being one of the

Top 15

students in 7th grade ....

 

Way to go Ry.... we are so proud of you

 

 

50 years ....

My parents, along with family and friends spanning their whole lives
celebrated 50 years of marriage today.

 

50 years of hard work = 50 years of love

first milestone in recovery

This is the day that I have been anxiously awaiting since my accident ....

The day I am suppose to get my arm cast off

It's just the beginning but I will  take every milestone I can.

I hated the cast, as you can see, I destroyed it.

This is my 4th cast and with my 5th trip to the doctor 2 weeks prior they placed the

cuts in it so I could breathe a bit ....

I CAN'T WAIT .....



 Here we go ... off to the room ... get that machine out and cut this thing OFF .....   they are just laughing at me ....

It's off, it's gross,  but it doesnt' smell !!!

The break still shows in my x-ray so I need to wear a brace and no weight beating on it.

I start rehab on Friday for my arm.

My knee however ... it's not healing .. so now he is saying 12 weeks before I

can do anything or even think about really bending it. I was moved into a new brace.

yuk, this is even worse ....

 

Bring on the next chapter, bring on what comes next ..

I want my life back
