Friday Night was the Scott Avenue Mother / Son Valentine's Dance ...

My date and I had a great time and he even honored me with a few slow dances...

Floor Complete

5 Days ... start to Finish ...

and the kitchen floor (and entry way) are complete and look great !!!!

New Happenings ... besides the floor

Ryan has been sick for 3 days now ... temperature up to 102.1

so he actually wanted to see the doctor !!! Just viral  ... hope he feels better soon....

Nicole was asked to be on the

Junior Executive Board for Maddi's Closet ... she is so excited to be part of a group who

can make a difference in the lives of sweet children with cancer...

Have been looking for a cork board for a few months now, but just couldn't find the right one .. then i saw this idea  and WOW ..

Off to Joann's and 1/2 hour later ..

I love my new cork boards ...

New Floor ... continued

My husband does great work when he does a project around the house ...

but one thing is NOT when he is doing it is FAST ...

So, I'm just loving that by hiring a tile person, it's only day 2 and 1/2 of the project is done...

Day 2 and the cement work is all done ...

Stay tuned tomorrow ... you may see tile !!!

I ran out to pick up dinner .. only to find that

Ryan could not resist leaving his name in the wet drying cement ...

So if and when the day comes that someone changes this tile ... you may just see the name of

a little 11 year old boy who was having some fun !!!!



The Flood .. Part 3 ... demo day

Today we began demo and the beginning of our new kitchen floor and while we were at it ... why not do the entry way ...

Our tile man pulled up 4 old layers of flooring and press board..

all the way down to original boards!!!

By 3:oopm ... clean and ready for a new floor

by 5:00pm the wire layed and ready for what is to come tomorrow ...

A weekend of Nothing ....

I spent the weekend on the couch, recovering and resting ...

thank goodness for TV . my time was occupied by Hallmark Channel and the count down to

Valentine's Day

A full afternoon of Teen Mom 2

A the best of a Glee Marathon..

What a weekend ..  now I'm ready for reality ....

No more TV for a few days ...



Maybe this will help ....

Friday morning at 5:30am I check into Whittier Pres (again) for the day

(funny moment .. my nurse says as she is drawing blood, weren't you just here?)

Surgery was scheduled at 7:30am.. They took me down to surgery holding at 6:20am..

By 7:20 i was my operating room and by 8:20 i was back in recovery ...

A D & C completed, a Uterine Ablajan done and a full uterine biopsy sent to the lab...

Maybe this will provide answers ... maybe the prospect of NO MORE PERIODS .

will rule out that my periods have anything to do with my anemia ...

What ever the answers are ... I have proven to myself that I am strong

and survived yet another day that was way outside my box ...

and I did it with the strength of God, Mark, my  great family and my

wonderful friends ...

Yes, I'm blessed ......

Oh, and yes my coin was in my hand and at side the whole time!!!!

Retreat Update !!!!

I loved it ... Nicole came home from winter retreat and when I asked her ... how was it??? Her response was Mom it was life changing .. amazing and so much fun ... Oh what a moment for a mom ..when you realize that God worked fabulous things in your daughter ... And on top of that Little Flock performed 2 times

Lots of fun canoeing , water fighting, and spending time with friends...

Singing and Praising God ... lots of singing and praising ...

She has found a home ... a group of kids and leaders that she loves and feels a part of ... AMEN !!!



So many choices....
