recovery time !!!!

Recovery .. is no fun ... none of the stages of it ... but Nic was a real trooper
from the hosital

to days on the couch

to her one week check up with the surgeon

she continued to keep a good attitude through this whole unpleasant experience

Including modeling her team animal house t-shirt (for her first and missed high school animal house competition)
but she is looking good and feeling ok !!!
12 days from surgery and she is heading to school on monday!!!
I love you honey and i'm glad you are gettin better and i'm proud of you for it all

Emergency !!!!

Well that was unexptected !!!!

2 days of pain, a trip to the doctor and whittier pres !!!

Then continued pain and back to pres and the emgergency room... 

Which led to hours in emergency, a CT Scan,

an ultra sound, 3 days in the hospital, surgery, cinderella for nurse

and no more appendix !!!

Not a fun experience at all, but

i am so proud of how strong and brave you were !!!

Recovery here we come !!!!

confetti craze .....

Surprise !!!! This morning, much to my family's surprise I walked out into the living room and attacked my kids with confetti eggs. Yes, very much unlike me... I covered the kids in confetti. Which turned into a confetti egg war... It was a blast and the kids were stunned. Even poor Rocky was covered by the end of our war.

A moment of pure fun ... laughs ... a huge mess ... and loved every sec !!!!

St. Patricks Day ...

A day of rain and storms made St. Patricks Day a day of rest, relaxation and fun.

Pancakes and sausage for breakfast was a good start (forgot the green food co

time for a little baking

Nicole and her tutor had a great time playing with blocks ... they called it Geometry

To lazy to cook ... enjoyed a family favorite!!!!

Lots of laughs as we played games as a family

ended the night with green milk shakes !!!!
Don't want rainy saturdays all the time, but sure enjoyed this one!!!

was just that !!!!

Nicole, Lauren, Cindy and I enjoyed a fun filled day at Disneyland...

2 parks, 2 times each, lots of rides, no sitting, my limits pushed ( a good thing) lots of laughs, time with silly girls, memories made and so exhausted to walk ... but loved every moment !!!!

time to study....

Gotta love my little teenager .... settled in for the evening of studying ... books, paper, computer, fresh pot of coffee & her pillow pet (Simba) !!!!

YAY!!!!! I thought this was still months away...

the massive rock ....

A big rock .... actually a 340 ton granite boulder on its way to become part of the

Los Angeles County Museum of Art, made a stop in whittier for the day.

The rock was ok, but the truck and 80 tires used to move the rock is pretty cool...

The best part of stopping to see this interesting rock traveling thru our town,

was having two high schoolers pose for a picture on a public road !!

Moms ... we have to fun when we can !!!

Best time of her life !!! ... so far

This weekend was a whirl wind of fun !!!!

Nicole had the time of her life at the

Andy Grammar Concert at the House of Blues in Hollywood...

Friday night Nicole and Bridgette (escorted by Mark) took off for Hollywood

The girls stood for over an hour to get a spot up front and then stood for 4 hours during the concert,  but being with-in 12 feet from Andy and the 2 opening bands for the whole concert was AMAZING. As Nicole retold of her evening when he walked thru the crowd and touched them, the best thing EVER !!! Gotta Love it ....
