The theme for tonights dance " Play for your heart"

The dance is being held at a restaurant/Arcade on Pike St in Long Beach....

it was off to La Serna to do formal pictures in the gym

(in my day, the photograhers did this at the dance , not now .. can't take away from that dancing time)

back to our house to kill a little time... then we were off

Nails, Hair and pasties

It's time to get ready!!

Nicole was excited to be asked to the Winter Formal Dance.

She got her new dress (which she loves)

got her new shoes (yep, ballet flats - can't be taller than your boyfriend)

got her new jewelry

now it's time to put it all together !!!

 A good friend, filled in last minute for Auntie Heather who was sick with the flu, to do Make-up...

Nicole had her ideas and with Timarie 's help they all became reality.

 

 

 

 My beautiful little girl looked at me and said ... I'm feeling like a princess !!

She doesn't need fancy hair or painted nailes .. She doesn't need lot's of make-up .. I think she is beautiful all the time inside and out.

But it did make my heart smile to see her believe what i already knew !!!

She felt beautiful !!!

Ryan made the Granada Middle School Basketball team

and tonight

was his first game.

Go GRANADA !!!!

 

Granada vs. Hillview - game time 6pm - stands were full - band was playing - pride was swelling

Oh and to make things even better.. .he got HIS number  11 !!!
 

 Tonights first game started a bit slow and at one point Granada was down 18-6 ...

They played hard, they pushed it hard and eventually tied it up ...

Granada lost by 2 points in last 30 seconds, but wow what a great game!!

balls, parks & Snowboards

This 3 day weekend was perfect !!!!

 

Nothing like having to relax in sunny califormia weather in a beautiful park

while enjoying watching Ryan play soccer.

 

Anaheim Cup 2013 was a great tournament !!!

 

from the park to the snow ... Monday a dream came true !!!

Ryan has asked and asked to learn to snow board ..

well he did and had a BlAsT !!! doing it

Number 3 was a charm !!!!

Auntie Heather was her fitting room helper .. Nicole loved having her there....

 

This day was so much easier than I had imagined.

The perfect dress, one we all loved, the price was perfect !!!

It was meant to be ...

A family day at the Pike in Long Beach

Today we spent the last day of vacation as a family down in Long Beach at The Pike

We laughed, we ate BBQ, we walked, we laughed, we enjoyed each other, we spent time trying on silly hats, we played games, we had yummy ice cream, we took lots of pictures and captured lots of memories .................

 

 

hello 2013 !!!!!

New Years was different this year.....

We missed our friends and our annual traditions, but life is full of change..;

so not together but still love them so !!!!

(and thanks to cell phone some good ole love was shared)

 

Nicole was not with us, she spent the first part of the night with her bestie Lauren

then after midnight I took her to an all nighter with her youth group.

All in all for her 2 hours of sleep and bless her she lasted all day without a nap...

 

 

As for the rest of us....

Ryan ran the streets with his neighborhood buddies

and occansionally they stopped to hang with us as we all sat

in Dave's driveway with a bonfire and lots of drinks ....

 

We brought in the new year outside around the fire !!!

 



It flew bye !!!!

Christmas Vacation was jammed packed with fun times ...

a boys trip to the USS Iowa,

Motorcyle Riding for Mark and Ryan

Dinner with the Drawe's (how i love my dear friend and her family)

A trip to the snow

disneyland with Nic and her friends

movie days with the girls

A shopping trip to Ikea

Our friendship ......30 years and counting ....

my not so favorite part of the snow trip ....

7 hour drive home with chains in the snow !!!!
