It's never good when your daughter runs in the house

Yep, playing around the porch

on his scooter and oops, he fell on his face !!!!

 with in one 30 seconds, the black pump was already growing...

which turned into this !!!!

oh yea and picture day at school is in a few days !!!

It's school time

It's that time .... School time !!!

It sure started earlier that usual, which we aren't real happy about ...

But, here we go...

Nicole is entering her Junior year at La Serna

&

Ryan is starting his last year at Granada...

 

 

The big difference this year, Nic is driving herself  (yay!!)



A dream evening for Nicole ......

 

At the beginning of summer Nic and Lauren

got tickets to the

"Nike Basketball 3ON3 Tournament"

and a meet & Greet with

Josh Hutcherson....

This night was a dream come true for Lauren and

absolutely perfect for them both !!!

 

 

 

 

these are true smiles of JOY !!!!

Not only a meet and greet with Josh,

but a hug and picture with her favorite One Tree Hill Star

and a cutie from Desperate Housewives !!!

Best night ever !!! They are already planning next year...

It's BLUE time !!!!

ID's are ready, school schedules are picked up

school is just about to start,

so one last night of fun, before we get back into the routine.

 

Ryan and Mark enjoyed a night of

Dodger baseball

with Josh and Steve

good friends, dodger dogs, great seats and a win !!!

 

Can't ask for more than that....



Today, August 7th, 2013

My little girl got her drivers license !!!!

 

As our children grow, we constantly look forward,

and wish away time....

 before we know it she'll be walking,

or oh my once she starts kindergarten,

wow, I can't believe she is done with middle school,

and on and on !!!

Now, so many milestones have come to pass and we are here at

this HUGE milestone ...

Our little girl is driving !!!!

 

 

Bring on no more school pick ups and drop offs, no more can you take me to so and so's house

It's a new chapter and we couldn't be happier!!!

 

while they were at the lake .....

While my family was at the lake, I spent most of the time at home

but, I did get out a little.

 

Being home alone for 9 days to some sounds like heaven for a mom, for me it was pretty sad

week. I have to admit there were a lot of tears and a lot of

useless time on the computer to waste time. I did get out a little ...

 

3 times to therapy ( this sucks and is so painful, but no pain no gain .. right ???)

 

 

  one of my least favorite ...

the snake bite kit ... yep, a real snake bite plunger  and they suck my

very sensitive very sore knee into the plunger

to break down the scar tissue ... YUK ..

and scary, because at this point scar tissue may be the only thing

holding my knee together ...

oh thefun !!!

 

I also had a doctor appointment ...

Update time !!!!

from the side view x-ray, he said looks ok .. a bit more healed

from the front ....

his hand movement along with his expression says it all...

hmmmmm, hmmmmm, still see this fracture and that one ...

What does all this mean ... who the hell knows !!!

I will keep pushing, I will keep healing until I hear different!!!

Keep praying.. I really don't want to have surgery again...

 

 had a great lunch with Gram, Joan, Hai & Austin

 

And celebrated my birthday with Heather and a pear martini ~

 

 



June Lake 2013

 

It's summer time which means it's time for

June Lake ....

 

the only difference this year .. I didn't get to go...

But, because I am hurt, doesn't mean the kids should change their plans...

 

So..... at 530am ....

Mark, Nic, Ryan and Rocky loaded up and took off for a 9 days at the lake

and they had a BLAST !!!!

Ryan's fishing was HOT ..... he caught not 1 but 2 .... 6 pound trout, plus many many more!!!

fresh fish for lunch.

 

so much fun, Uncle Ron and Aunt Leigh Leigh along with Gizmo off for a ride

 Only a few of them are crazy enough to swim in this cold water



 

Papa and Ryan spent many hours sitting in this boat and had so much fun!

It used to be that every year the big boys (aka dads)
would spend the day hiking & fishing in Saddle Bag
but, this year Mark, Nicole & Ryan
along with Rob, Logan, Jared & Connor
took off for a new experience.
7 miles hiked at 11,000 feet ....
Then a little fishing, some playing in the snow and enjoying some true beauty !!!!

 

 

 

 ryan kept us his training, said this would have been much easier with gears...

A great week was had by all ...

Camping, fishing, camp fires, bike riding, lots of eating, game playing, and so much more !!!
